How long should my kitchen remodel take?
The duration of a kitchen remodel can vary based on several factors, making it a case-by-case basis. However, we typically see most kitchen projects completed in around 8 weeks from demolition to the final post-construction cleaning. Does your company complete the work or is it subcontracted?
Yes, we take great pride in completing the work ourselves. You will see the owner and our dedicated team on-site every day, focusing on our carpentry expertise. While we handle the primary work, we do subcontract specialty trades to ensure that we have fully licensed and trained experts for those specific tasks. ie. plumbing, electrical, hvac, tile, painting
Can we text the builder?
Texting is suitable for quick, urgent messages. For more comprehensive discussions, we recommend using email to ensure we can keep a record. We appreciate your understanding and kindly ask that you avoid texting after business hours.
Why is a deposit needed?
A deposit is crucial as it secures your spot in schedule. It enables us to buy materials ahead of time and helps cover the significant work involved in for your project before we begin. This guarantees that everything is set for a smooth and seamless workflow. We appreciate your understanding of this important step!
Do you finance?
Thank you for your inquiry! Yes, we offer financing through a third party. Please note that all information is kept confidential, our role is primarily to introduce you to the lender rather than being directly involved in the financing process. If you have any further questions, feel free to ask!
What is site protection?
Site protection refers to the careful use of various materials and techniques to safeguard your home, its surfaces, and belongings during construction. By addressing foot traffic, tools, dust, and other potential messes, we ensure that your home remains in equal or better condition than when we first arrived. How long does a custom house take to build?
Building a custom house is a unique process, and the timeline can vary based on numerous factors, including design and finishes. Generally, we can complete a home in about 5 to 6 months from groundbreaking to final touches. However, it's important to note that permitting requirements can add several months to this timeline. To provide a more specific answer, we would love to discuss the details of the home in question.
Do we need to be home while the work is being completed?
You don't have to be home while the work is in progress. Many of the properties we handle are second or third homes, and we gladly work with our clients to ensure the project is completed effectively and safely in their absence. We usually arrange visits for clients at key phases of the project so they can select finishes or make essential design decisions. Your convenience and peace mind are our top priorities!
Do you work in any weather conditions?
At our company, we pride ourselves on being strong and rugged, but we also know our limits. We work year round, adapting to the weather conditions we face, all while reserving the right to make daily decisions based on safety and productivity. Our tools and equipment are a significant investment, and we aim to protect them from unfavorable weather. While we strive to keep the job moving in temperatures ranging 5 to 95 degrees, rain and snow, we strictly adhere to our product recommendations to ensure the best efficiency and longevity of your investment.
What is the payment schedule?
At our company, the payment schedule is tailored to each project, taking into account its size, duration, and complexities. Generally, we require a standard deposit of 30%, followed by additional payments that are scheduled at specific milestones agreed upon by both the contractor and the client. The remaining balance, along with any additional costs, will be billed upon completion. This approach fosters a transparent and equitable relationship for everyone involved.
Will my kitchen be usable during remodel?
The usability of your kitchen during a remodel depends on the scope of the work. If we’re doing a full gut remodel, your kitchen will unfortunately be unusable during this period. We follow a strict order of operations to maintain efficiency and safety, which includes shutting off all utilities in the area being remodeled. After the demolition is finished, we will coordinate the necessary trades in a timely manner to restore your space.
Will there be days where no work is being done during my project?
While we aim for a seamless project timeline and our goal is to avoid this, there may be days when no active work is being done on your project. This can occur due to factors such as weather, holidays, product delivery dates, and the schedules of our subcontractors (for specific tasks). Even though we maintain strong relationships with our partner trades, their other commitments can sometimes lead to brief delays. Rest assured, our dedicated team is committed to managing these schedules effectively to ensure we maximize our time and provide the best service for our clients.
Do you complete small jobs?
Yes, we do complete small jobs! We are excited to be a part of any project that challenges our creativity and craftsmanship, all while ensuring we provide great value to our clients. Is the cost of my appointment refunded?
Yes, if you accept the estimate given following your appointment, the cost of the appointment will be refunded. This amount will be credited to your project invoice. However, if the job is not approved, the appointment fee will still be applicable. This policy reflects our commitment to valuing the time and effort invested in your consultation.
What other services do you offer?
At our company, we specialize in all of residential carpentry and construction. However, our services extend that. Through our strong relationships with partner brands, we can connect you with trusted vendors such as landscaping, hardscaping, outdoor lighting, and pool installation. This collaborative approach ensures you receive a seamless and unique experience as we help you redesign and reimagine your home
Do you clean after the job is completed?
At our company, we prioritize the cleanliness of your space after completing a job, while it largely depends on the specific task at hand, we always treat your home with the utmost respect. Each day, we ensure the site is broom-swept, and once project is finished, our staff will perform a light cleaning. If needed, we can also provide a post-construction cleaning service for an additional charge, which can be agreed upon beforehand.
How far out are you scheduled?
Thank you for your inquiry! Typically, we schedule our residential carpentry and remodeling projects about 4 to 6 months in advance at least. However, we encourage you not to let this timeframe discourage you. This planning period is essential for ensuring that every detail—from design elements to permitting—is carefully coordinated. Additionally, we often have small openings in our schedule due to material availability and client coordination, so depending on the size and complexity of your project, we may be able to fit you in sooner!
